The CVS (Concurrent Versions System) is a tool for maintaining revision
control for software projects. In order to accelerate
the cycle of bug-report/bug-fix/new release, we made Netgen available
via (read only) CVS access. This must be seen as continous access to the
source-code under development, instead of static snapshots (releases) from
time to time.
To use CVS access, you need a version of CVS installed on your system.
It is there on most Unix/Linux systems. Otherwise,
please get a copy form http://www.cvshome.org/.
There is a graphical CVS for Windows from http://cvsgui.sourceforge.net/
For login you have to use secure shell (again, installed on Unix/Linux,
and available for Windows from http://www.networksimplicity.com/openssh/
)
On Linux/Unix, please enter the commands
> setenv CVS_RSH ssh
> cvs -d :ext:netgen@thor.sfb013.uni-linz.ac.at:/cvs/netgen co netgen
You will be asked for a password, please use the same one as for download.
Enjoy it !
